Shared Strength Through Partnership

Since its inception, QVAA has operated under a joint agreement with Valley Ambulance Authority, allowing both organizations to:

  • Share facilities and administrative resources

  • Collaborate on staffing and operations

  • Reduce costs and improve efficiency

Both organizations are co-located at:
3550 University Blvd, Moon Township, PA
(between the Sewickley Bridge and Coraopolis)

Our Mission

We are dedicated to providing exceptional emergency care and medical transportation to the residents and visitors of our service areaโ€”ensuring fast, skilled, and compassionate service when itโ€™s needed most.

Our Fleet

QVAA maintains a modern, fully integrated fleet that includes:

  • ๐Ÿš‘ 2 Mobile Intensive Care Unit (MICU) ambulances

  • ๐Ÿš 1 wheelchair-accessible transport van

These vehicles are operated in partnership with Valley Ambulance Authority to ensure broad coverage and rapid response.

  • ~7,000 Emergency Ambulance Calls

  • ~3,000 Wheelchair Van Transports

How Weโ€™re Funded

QVAA is a non-profit municipal authority and an IRS-designated 501(c)(3) charitable organization, funded by:

  • Insurance reimbursements

  • Community donations

  • A per-resident municipal assessment

Note: QVAA does not receive general municipal tax revenue.

Resident Billing Policy

โœ… Effective January 1, 2021
Residents who receive medically necessary emergency ambulance transport receive a:

  • 50% discount on eligible co-pays, deductibles, and out-of-pocket costs not covered by insurance

This policy aligns with Valley Ambulance Authority's subscriber benefits and helps offset increasing EMS system costs.

Residents also receive discounted rates for non-emergency ambulance and wheelchair van services.
